The KIBR Regional Branches were established on the basis of the Act of 20 June 1992 of the

st National Assembly of Statutory Auditors on founding KIBR Regional Branches.
It determines that the regional branches will be established in the places of previous seats of
the Accountants Association in Poland Territorial Branches and they will include the auditors from the
activity area of the Accountants Association in Poland branches mentioned above. The National Council
of Statutory Auditors was obliged to establish a detailed statute of KIBR Regional Branches. The

nd National Assembly passed a resolution concerning founding the Regional Branch in
Tarnow. At present there are 27 Regional Branches of the National Chamber of Statutory Auditors
which unite auditors living in one or several regions.
The Regional Branches were established in order to provide the right functioning of the Chamber
and auditors’ professional activity. As organisational entities of the self-regulatory body,
the Regional Branches have to aim at providing execution of high level audit profession by information,
teaching and training activity provided to auditors.
The regional branch’s activity is financed by member fees and charges on the benefit of the
Chamber of entities authorised to audit financial statements, transferred to the branches on the
basis of the National Council’s Resolution. The branches’ funds come also from the training
activity incomes provided according to the rules determined by the resolutions of the National Council
of Statutory Auditors.
The bodies of the KIBR Regional Branch are: the General Meeting of Statutory Auditors, the Regional
Branch Board and the Regional Branch Audit Committee.
